Instructions for working with the plugin
First of all...
Let’s take a look on the different types of anaglyphs. For some of them it seems that the objects are “in front” of the monitor.
For other the objects are “inside” the monitor.
The second case looks more natural and well accepted, so we have to try to make only the second type of anaglyphs.
Open Paint.NET and create a new empty image with the size of the left (or right – they are the same size) picture. Open the Anaglyph plugin:
Load the left and the right images and you will see the anaglyph!
But this is not a good anaglyph – the island is in front of the screen. You could notice, that for the far objects the left and the right coincide (the far bridge) but not for the near objects (the chimney). It has to be vice versa. So click a couple of times on buttons 5L and L. Now the anaglyph looks great!
Let’s take a look on the plugin:
-
By buttons Left and Right you are loading the images. Just after that the button Ok is enabled.
-
The direction buttons move the left image to change the depth as well as to fix some small defects.
-
The Type radio-buttons change the color system
-
The Color radio-buttons can change the color anaglyph to black and white and vice versa. When the initial picture has too much “glasses color” (red or cyan for red/cyan type) the quality of the anaglyph is bad. In this case it is better to convert the anaglyph to black and white.
-
The Brightness and Contrast also could be changed.
-
The 0 button resets the image movement as well as the brightness and the contrast.
-
Ok button fixes the anaglyph and finish processing – the Cancel button cancels everything.
-
Help button will send you to this web page.
-
The Update link will make connections to check about the current and the newest versions of the plugin. It will only reports if the newer version is available. You should download and install it manually.
